This studio needs to continue creating some of the best art in the business, mostly so I have an excuse to cry a little shamelessly every so often. If you had any form of enjoyment playing the games that this company has made, please give them money to make more. Impostor Factory really nails its atmosphere, between the more linear storytelling and the ever-fantastic music. The writing rides the impossible line from being laugh out loud funny to heartbreakingly grim, and from cheerful optimism to a thrilling sense of ominous mystery. While the story never hits the emotional gut punches or raw connection that the previous two dive into, Impostor Factory shows that Freebird Games still has a lot of creative ideas left in the world they've built, and I hope to continue to see more of it in any form that takes. The intimate storytelling that Kan Gao and his team portrays with such limitation is unbelievable, and they deliver again a third time. Strong 8/10.ģh 6m PlayedThis franchise means the most to me more than most in the world of video games. In all a Really Good game, but would be better if treated as a standalone game, instead of a sequel/prequel. (The post credits) It's insignificant, a cheap way to connect stories in order to keep them selling, in order to tie in the player base and make them want the other games to find out the "mystery". On the 2° Minisode, you get 5 minutes of lore, on Finding Paradise you get only half of the last act and in this one you get a whole 10 minutes. Yet, this game fails to enter into the "Incredible or 9/10" category for me, it fails at interconnecting the stories once more, Kan Gao has failed every single time to develop the story of Sigmund Corp in a meaningful way. The game transitions so fucking well from what it initially offers into the touching experience and dramatic portrayal of ones life, it was truly astonishing, I loved every single moment of the "story". Lastly the two main factors shined as bright as the first one, Dialogue is incredible once more, every character is like a real person, and the story, oh how it is brilliant. The soundtrack was really better and I liked it a lot, the game runs better because of the "new" engine, the pixel art stays as beautiful.

IMPOSTOR FACTORY SOUNDTRACK SERIES

So if you haven’t played Impostor Factory yet, be sure to get it.5h 18m PlayedThe best of the whole series, with a refreshing gameplay, polished story and a fun adventure! Impostor Factory is the most recent addition for the "To The Moon" series of games, and thankfully it shows the technological advancements made since the first iteration, everything is smoother, you can finally RUN (This exists since 1980), HUD is better and a lot of little changes that increased the quality of life by a lot. For me, I’d rank this second in the series – it didn’t quite hit the emotional highs of To the Moon for me, but I enjoyed it more than Finding Paradise. I’m not sure I can give any specific details without brushing on spoilers, so I’ll just say that while you shouldn’t expect this to be a conclusion to the overarching story, I think you’ll enjoy Impostor Factory if you liked the previous two (although it seems like it’s a somewhat controversial one among fans). The format might be different, but the feelings are the same, and there’s a plot twist partway through that makes everything mean so much more. It soon becomes another emotional story through a character’s life. It feels unrelated at first, but don’t misunderstand, it is definitely a main entry in the series rather than a spin-off, and the reasons for that become clear as you play. Unlike To the Moon and Finding Paradise, Impostor Factory doesn’t begin with Neil and Eva visiting someone’s memories to fulfill their wish. So, it’s finally time to talk about Impostor Factory.

Yet despite the creepiness in certain parts of the game, I decided it was too much of a stretch to include it. Impostor Factory begins with a man named Quincy arriving at a mansion to attend a party, and it isn’t long before strange things start happening.

Now, I honestly considered making it the first “spooky” game review of this October. I played Impostor Factory immediately after it came out, but since that was right ahead of October, its review got put off all this time! Among our long list of exciting games that came out this year is Impostor Factory, the third main entry in the To the Moon series.
